Patterned Thinking and Behavior

The tendency to view the world and everything on it as objects in space and to believe that the world of perceived form is all there is to know of could conceivably be considered a problem.
The materialist, empiricist world view fails to take in to account the fundamental underlying nature of reality and this lack of vision has led to confusion about the true nature of ourselves, our relationships with each other and with the cosmos.
Without the understanding that all the 'things' which we believe exist separately to ourselves are in fact of the nature of objects of perception and only exist because we have our attention focussed upon them, we fall into the false assumption that there is a world 'out there' which is somehow separate and different to ourselves.
This set of false assumptions is the basis upon which we formulate our relational behavior toward all that we perceive as separate, and different.
When we are in this position there arises difficulty in accepting the fact of our inherent oneness. It appears, from our limited understanding, that there are things in existence which are somehow wrong or unfathomable and about which we appear powerless to change or to truly know.
It is only when we make a dedicated effort to realize the true and transcendent nature of reality that the Light dawns upon us in such a way that our minds can perceive the interconnectedness of all that is.
Once the individual has reached a level of understanding that they are indeed a part of a larger whole the desire for ( or wanting of ) things can subside, and the knowing that all needs are automatically provided for in due course allows one to interact with reality in a holistic and inclusive manner.
Setting an example of living with this understanding and endeavoring to communicate ways to reach this level of knowing could potentially be of enormous benefit to humanity if enough people were able to do it.
