Problem of the Churches

First, this is a problem with the world’s religions not recognizing (or teaching) their oneness with other spiritual groups/faiths, indeed all peoples. Further, it is a story of mistrust and abuse of power among the major religions who fight even amongst themselves. Examples largely being the Christian, Jewish and Islamic faiths fighting with each other and not living up to the essence of their teachings, i.e. Brother and Sisterhood [the prophets/founders of each of these faiths most certainly didn’t teach division.] People when spiritually aligned towards a common goal, can transcend their differences of intolerance but they must be willing to put aside their petty differences and focus on what is important for the whole, such as the parties involved in the Middle East process (reconciliation) are now attempting.

The Jews and Moslems of the Middle East are prime examples of these petty squabbles. Here in America, each sect of the Christians claims they have the final word on what Jesus or God has said. In the last 25 years the “Christian Right” has entered the political arena to advance their agenda. The Gulf War and the oil embargo of 1973 proves how much we can be taught to mistrust or hate Moslems, e.g. seeing them depicted as terrorists or with intentions of Saddam Hussein. But that borders more into a political intolerance as well. Each of these are examples of current issues that are confronting disciples who are truly interested in peace. It should be clearly understood , that any disciple working in world affairs must be aligned towards the seeing the whole picture and put their own agenda second.

The major challenge for the worlds religions today is to find a way to teach about the presence of God in all things and of the possibility of spiritual transcendence such as was taught by Jesus of Nazareth. The time for the churches (predominantly Christian) to control people is past. People should be taught to use their minds and their hearts to work in a spirit of Right Hunan Relations with each other and their environment. The upcoming new world religion will be based partly upon an understanding of the technology of using the mind (thoughts), body (etheric) and emotional (love/wisdom in action) control and the responsibility therein.

This “dialog” you are implementing sounds fascinating. Why? Because you are engaging the mental plane of the parishioners or congregants. Your mental plane helped to put together the sermon (i.e. topic) to the listening audience in the pews. Now, though a dialog, they can interact and contribute their ideas too and receive Darshan and simultaneously establish a connection with the divine source from whence the teaching came. This is reminiscent of Tibetan monks and their spiritual training. In their training, they regularly “mentally” engage each other on a particular virtue or concept. The point is to examine the idea from different angles and thus inculcate the mind with the new wisdom.

Since the congregant helped to seed information for the sermon, he/she then receives the energy directly while thinking on the topic. Another positive side effect, is that if enough of the congregants successfully establish a connection, then a a field or shakti will fill the nave of the church. A nice after glow of energy will remain. For the spiritually inclined, a major goal should be to directly connect with the divine source. In traditional churches, congregants rely on the pastor/ priest to speak from that “connection” themselves. Here at the beginning of the New Age this is a time where any and everyone is encouraged to connect and align with a Higher source. We no longer have to let the single individual do this.

Also, I don’t know how open your church is to the Great Invocation, but it is the preeminent formula for showing the 3 major aspects and teachings of God for humanity. The Lucis Trust website has plenty of information on this.
