Light in Edinburgh

To help publicise the Festival Week, Light in Edinburgh held a public meeting at the Edinburgh Theosophical Society (TS), in the beginning of December. After an introductory talk on the Festival Week of the new group of world servers and the work of Alice Bailey and the founding of the Lucis Trust, John Dumigan, a member of Light in Edinburgh gave a talk about Helena Roerich and the Agni Yoga Teachings. Guest speaker, Mike Hall, President of the Edinburgh TS shared his knowledge of Helena Blavatsky and The Theosophical Society. All three talks highlighted the part these three great servers played in the creation of the esoteric movements, which have been so important in bringing the Teachings of the Ageless Wisdom and the Spiritual Hierarchy into the public arena.

During the Festival Week a meditation meeting was also held in the Salisbury Centre in Edinburgh as a way of celebrating and as a tribute to the new group of world servers. The film created by Lucis Productions about the NGWS was also shown. Due to some technical difficulties some other films were unable to be shown. A DVD has now been prepared of all the films, and is being shown soon, at one of the regular Sunday film shows in the Edinburgh TS. The meditation meeting in the Salisbury Centre was supported by several members from the Edinburgh TS.

A flyer was created by a member of Light in Edinburgh which highlighted both meetings and was displayed in several spiritual centres in Edinburgh.

As a result of holding the two meetings, Light in Edinburgh, have been joined by some new members to support the monthly meditation meetings.
