Descartes famously proclaimed “I think, therefore I Am.” Only when this declaration can be made with understanding can the re-ascent towards spirit and group consciousness begin, as epitomized in the esoteric phrase I am That – and That am I.  What steps can be taken towards a more holistic approach in philosophy that includes “thinking in the heart?” For only the energy of love and compassion can reveal the true field of relationships within the whole. A key is found in our intuitive response to the true immediate need of another. Dr. Michael Madsen is a psychiatrist practising in Denmark who also has a deep interest in philosophy.

a Service  John Tate
John Tate is the CEO, Chairman, and a founding member of Ruaha Energy – a Tanzanian green energy company that develops, owns, and operates small scale grid and off-grid renewable energy systems in underserved rural markets in Africa.  John will be discussing how Alice Bailey’s writings on The Destiny of the Nations,  The Problem of Capital, Labour and Employment and The Problem of International Unity have helped guide his thinking in designing this experiment in group service, as well as the challenges involved in adapting an “enlightened form of capitalism” to the cultural and business environment in Africa.
